| What
makes FixGrammar Editors different?
The fact is, most of our editors are professional English as a Second
Language educators with PhDs and MAs. Why is this important? These
special educators have a very strong background working with writers
from countries worldwide. They have a sharp talent for
1. understanding the writer’s intention this
is key!
2. rephrasing
3. utilizing appropriate structure & vocabulary
There
are many different ways to express one idea. Now multiply that by
the number of languages and dialects there are throughout the world.
English as a Second Language (ESL) writing instructors work with
this complex situation daily. The best become elite editors surpassing
the skills of PhD English professors, magazine and newspaper editors,
and writers of literature. We know this to be true as applicants
with the aforementioned backgrounds do not always meet our high
standards.
When ESL professionals substantiate their unique background and
pass our rigorous testing process, they are invited to work with
us. We certainly don't group a bunch of editors and hope they do
a good job. We work as a team (3 editor process). It is important
to note that these specialists use their skills to assist native
speakers of English (people born in English speaking countries)
as well as non-native speakers.
